If you are on the hunt for a mobile gold processing plant, you've come to the right place! APT engineer and supply modular mining equipment, including trailer versions of complete mining equipment kits allowing you to go from gold or bulk mineral bearing material to the recovered product efficiently and quickly. These mobile gold processing plant kits have options catering to hard rock and/or alluvial material. We pride ourselves on having short lead times as we understand the urgency in wanting to begin your mining venture and we are proud to announce that we have just set a new record in fully manufacturing and assembling our RG30-T mobile gold processing plant in a record time of just 3 short weeks, ready to head to our client in Southern Africa. Well done to the APT team! The RG30-T mobile gold processing plant (pictured below) will be used as an exploration module, something it is well-suited to due to its robust and minimalist design, and does not have a crushing section as it will only process alluvial material. The RG30-T includes everything required to go from ore to final concentrate, from the complete wash plant through to the GoldKacha concentrator through to a lock-up section to store your gold-bearing concentrate safely.

APT TriTank® Cyanidation System: the advantages

Web-TT1-1-e1503307722162.jpg

This article will focus on the TriTank benefits; a system introduced by professional metallurgical engineers, APT. Cyanide dissolving gold is a reaction, just like dissolving sugar in your tea. The better mixed your slurry, the more cyanide is dissolved and the faster it dissolves. Why is this so important? There are some very logical reasons:

  • The faster you can make the reaction happen, the smaller the vessel you need to contain the reaction, and thus the lower the capital cost of the plant.
  • The quicker the reaction, the better use you make of the cyanide which decomposes with time. Also the better use you make of the oxygen in solution as oxygen is necessary for the gold cyanide reaction.
  • Better mixing means a more efficient process and more complete reactions.

Dissolving the gold is only part of the procedure, in the CIL or CIP process the second part of the story is adsorbing the gold back out of the pregnant cyanide solution onto the carbon. The rate of the adsorption reaction is driven by the concentration of the gold in solution, so getting the barren solution away from the carbon particle and getting fresh gold bearing solution to the surface is very important.

In summary, the better the mixing, the better the cyanidation, the more gold you will extract.

The APT TriTank® system offers:

  • Extremely efficient mixing
  • A smaller and less costly plant
  • Less material required to construct
  • A smaller plant footprint, thus easier to contain
  • More oxygen introduced into solution
  • Ease of operation
  • Quick and easy installation

APT TriTank® is a more efficient cyanidation/carbon system that is proven in practice.

Available in 20, 40, 80, 200, 300, 400 and 500 cubic metre capacities.  Supplied as complete systems, installed and commissioned by APT.

Many claims have been made here, and APT stands by all of them. TriTank is a properly researched and engineered system, not an assemblage of tanks made in the ‘corner welding shop’. A professional metallurgical solution produced by professional metallurgical engineers. Please continue through the paper here to explore the TriTank development and judge for yourself.

Mercury Remediation on Contaminated Mining Sites Possible with APT's GoldKacha

IMG-7939-e1503301335669.jpg

Leading from our previous article congratulating Zimbabwean mineral testwork laboratory, Peacocke & Simpson, for their achievement in gaining their ISO 9001:2015 certification, we wanted to show an example of the work we have had done in our research and development phase and the significance of it today. This particular testwork report was done in 2010 to establish whether mercury remediation on contaminated mining sites was possible with the APT GoldKacha and if so, to what extent. The whole report can be viewed here, but we have also given a basic summary of the results below. The question: 'is mercury remediation on contaminated mining sites possible with APT's GoldKacha concentrator?'

The answer: 'A 380kg typical mine tailings sample mixed with 50g mercury was subjected to gravity concentration using a Goldkacha Concentrator to investigate mercury recovery from dump tailings sample. Mercury recovery was 99.4% into Goldkacha concentrates of 3.8% by mass. The mercury recovery was achieved while the Goldkacha was running at a relatively low speed of 71 rpm.'

The results showed that the GoldKacha was a significant step forward in not only mercury free, but also mercury remediation solutions. Since then, APT have embarked on several mercury free initiatives with several well-known entities and we continue to develop our work and improve upon existing solutions. The GoldKacha, for example, has been developed to suit multiple environments; it is available as a solar powered plant and is also available as the Goldilox, a fully automated solution which allows you to safely store all gold bearing material as soon as it has been recovered.

The options and opportunities are endless and we at APT continuously strive to push the limits and set the bar for the future of mining. The video below gives just a glimpse into the work that we are doing globally.

Mining Equipment Testimonials: what our clients have to say

sdfds-e1501770319829.jpg

Mining equipment testimonials are hugely important to us; not only do they give future clients peace of mind and some idea of what to expect from our company in the future, but they also make us as mining equipment engineers and suppliers feel good about the work that we have put in, affording the motivation for us to improve and always strive to do the best we can. Here's what a few of our our valued clients have had to say:

"We’ve used an RG30 scrubber for some time now. The scrubber breaks down tenacious clay and screens all fines to the GoldKacha concentrator which we find extremely efficient. A winning combination, thank you APT."

H. Jenkins (CEO, Goldchip Investments)

"I have had an amazing couple of days watching the recovery  circuit being installed. Special thanks to Mark and his team and I must commend them on their work ethics but most importantly their joyous attitude. Mark has a special group of Lads. I have had a chat with my guys to ensure that our plant attains the same high level that Mark and his team have set. We certainly feel comfortable with having entrusted your company with the recovery circuit and are very anxious to get the setup commissioned. Once again thank you."

Emmanuel

"We constructed two TriTanks at our Eldorado mine to retreat tailings. The plant operated for 7 years and was the least problematic of any plant I have ever built and worked. We never dug out a tank. After a power cut, usually not more than 30 minutes, the plant was re-started and within minutes the pulp was back in suspension. Agitation was superb resulting in rapid dissolution and effective washing of the carbon off the horizontal carbon screens. In conclusion, the triangular agitator is far superior to anything that has ever been built."

J. Skinner (Previously Group Projects Manager for Lonrho)

Alluvial and Hard Rock Plant On Site: 1 Minute With APT

IMG_2124-e1501509714595.jpg

As with our 2 Minutes on Site with the CIL TriTank, we are now showing you our alluvial and hard rock plant on site with the RG100 Combo for gold recovery, although we do provide similar plants with the option of bulk mineral recovery. This plant is medium sized but was designed to be neat, making the on-site experience more enjoyable as well as simple to operate and high in recovery capability. It is a 'combo' plant because it features a hard rock crushing section as well as the alluvial section, as opposed to our RG100 which is used when hard rock crushing is not required.

The video below shows how APT's RG100 combo plant operates and the neat lay-out we have for it. This plant in particular was recently installed and commissioned in Africa and we thoroughly enjoyed the whole process. For more on-site videos, we recommend visiting our mining videos page here. We have included informative videos, site visits showing how the mines operate in reality and how the plants work and more. If we have left anything out that you would like to see, let us know and we will definitely include it.

Now, back to the mining equipment! APT's mining equipment is engineered, tried and tested, designed, manufactured and then assembled in-house, ensuring every process has been performed thoroughly. That sounds like a very long process, but we are known for our fast lead times and pride ourselves on hard work and efficiency. Below you can see the APT mining equipment that just headed out, particularly from the GroundBreaker range.

First up we had an order for several GoldKacha concentrators head out to North Africa. Seeing them go out like this is always so rewarding; the employees can actually see the results of their work and the anticipation for the plants to arrive on site begins. We also had other GoldKacha and GoldMasta plants lined up for elsewhere in Africa!

Mining Equipment in South Africa: who is APT?

waw-e1499694082186.jpg

Mining equipment in South Africa has taken on new heights with engineers and suppliers, APT. We have had many new visitors to our website and head office lately, but many do not know the extent of what we actually do. We thought we'd take this opportunity to introduce ourselves to anyone looking for mining equipment in South Africa and across the globe. Our CEO once stated "we do not simply provide mining equipment, we provide solutions to problems faced in the industry". This sums up APT; we set out to innovate, create and inspire in taking care of the whole mining equipment process from mineral testwork to concept creation to engineering, research and development, manufacture, assembly and finally on-site mining installation and commissioning. It sounds like a long process, but we are known for keeping our lead times short. Our head office is based in Johannesburg, South Africa. Here you can see our mining equipment in these various stages, some being designed, some being manufactured and others being checked one last time before disassembly and their subsequent journey to site. We set out to show you this through the videos below and give you a solid vision of APT.

[embed]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ur_h4Cp5UVA[/embed]

We also keep things affordable and simple; if you're looking for an alluvial gold recovery plant, we have it and the same goes for hard rock plants and so on. We have a variety of plant sizes available even if it's for the more advanced designs such as our CIP/CIL cyanidation plant, the TriTank, which has received great praise for being entirely new to the industry and well ahead of anything else out there today. So with APT you may be starting off smaller, but that just means a greater profit in a shorter time-frame. Our 'Let Your Project Fund Itself' article reflects this ideology.

That said, we also do the not-so-standard plants and really put in the extra work to ensure that we create the best one suited to your site. We keep things minimal, sturdy and bold. We are proud of our team and our team proud of what they produce. This pride is reflected in our plants and seeing them on your sites around the globe is truly rewarding!

[embed]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ePg6EpyJcc0[/embed]

We welcome you to step into our offices, have a cup of coffee or whatever your preference and look out over our deck onto all of the plants being created while we talk all things mining. It really is inspiring! Email us on info@aptprocessing.com to arrange an appointment or visit our contact page for directions to the offices.

Automated & Secure Concentrates System: Introducing Goldilox

goldilox-title--e1499418529613.jpg

APT are proud to announce that we have developed an automated and secure concentrates system as an addition to the 3tph GoldKacha concentrator, known as GoldiloxTM. The secure purge system ensures there is no access to the gold concentrates generated during the run cycle, allowing for safe storage and enabling greater control over what happens during your mine cycle. To see a video of the GoldKacha running, view our video selection here on our website, we will be uploading one for the Goldilox shortly. The GoldKacha operates in a similar way to Goldilox, however the difference is the safe automates and secure concentrates system as described below. concentrates storage system apt  goldilox mining concentrates system

All concentrates are automatically discharged at pre-set intervals into a locked concentrate box sitting beneath the GoldKacha. The security cage and concentrates box are unlocked at end of day and the concentrate box is taken to the gold room for upgrading and smelting. The run time interval is pre-set by the mine operator and is password protected for optimal mine security. GoldiloxTM also logs run time to allow owners and operators to see a record of daily use and total use.

automated & secure concentrates system

Combined with APT’s alluvial and hard rock plants, small scale miners are now able to run a secure operation on a start-up budget with the peace of mind, knowing gold recovered remains yours and is under your control.

For further information, please contact us or email us on info@aptprocessing.com and we'll be happy to help. We have listed our mining equipment here on our website but we are continuously developing and do so very quickly, so if you do not see what you are looking for on our website then please do contact us and let us know what you are looking for, we may just have it in production.
