Another APT RDGK15 Mercury-Free Processing Plant Arrives in Ethiopia!

Mercury-free processing is advancing in Ethiopia, with news spreading of the excellent recoveries achieved using APT’s processing solutions.

Demonstrations of APT’s small-scale equipment have been held in various areas of the country, and are set to continue with the arrival of another RDGK15 Hard Rock Processing Plant. A trial run of old tailings was performed and if the below feedback is anything to go by, we’re expecting great results ahead!

We look forward to the roll out of more mercury-free processing equipment within the country, and would like to extend our gratitude to the team out in the field making it all happen!

On Site at a Small Scale Gold Processing Facility

Here, a small scale gold processing facility is operating with a batch of APT GoldKacha Concentrators.

Our client opted to install multiple GoldKacha Concentrators in parallel in order to process a larger tonnage of material. This is often done on small scale operations to allow for growth as you generate a profit.

Assembly Underway on an APT TriTank Cyanidation Plant

The picture below was taken during the assembly process of this APT TriTank Cyanidation Plant. Our brilliant team takes care of the complete process, from engineering right through to installation and commissioning.

APT designed the TriTank system for gold recovery via CIL/CIP. The Tritank incorporates the traditional 6 cyanidation tanks into one single tank, partitioned into 6 individual sectors. The result? Less steel required for manufacture (and thus lower capital cost), smaller footprint, easier materials transfer between sectors, enhanced mixing characteristics, and more. Let us know if you are interested in setting up a CIL/CIP system, and we would be happy to assist you and introduce you to the TriTank.

Multi-Mineral Gravity Separation Plants

APT's high quality multi-mineral gravity plants are suitable for a wide range of heavy mineral operations, for example lead, tantalite, cassiterite, antimony, copper oxide, chromite, lithium and of course, gold. The beauty of the system is the ability to set the tables specifically for your chosen mineral, allowing for optimized recovery. Importantly, NO reagents or chemicals are required.

APT is able to arrange a test of your target mineral in our ISO certified Mineral Testwork Laboratory of choice, Peacocke & Simpson. For further information, please email us on info@aptprocessing.com or visit our website here.

A Golden Update from West Africa

We are thrilled to share some excellent feedback regarding the operation of the GoldKacha Concentrator in North Africa. Within the small-scale mining industry, the GoldKacha has proven itself as a ‘power plant’ with its mercury-free gold recovery and mercury remediation capabilities.

Pictured here is the bottom of the GoldKacha bowl, with gold recovered prior to panning.

Thank you to our client for sharing these brilliant results with us.

Gold Recovery On-The-Go With The APT GoldTrail

Another APT GoldTrail has been completed here at our Head Office. This one is headed out to recover gold in the African terrain. The GoldTrail is an easy-to-use, reliable and efficient precious metal recovery system. It is a mobile unit designed to be towed by a quad bike, and is perfectly suited to small-scale processing applications and exploration on the go.

Lithium Concentrates from Lithium Ores the APT Way

After extensive Research and Development APT has developed a simple gravity-based flowsheet for recovering lithium concentrates from lithium ores. The system has perfected the method of liberation as well as the method of concentration. The resulting plant is simple, fast to assemble and operate, and uses APT's Top Quality components in a First World solution.

The Importance of Understanding Minerals in Engineering Mineral Processing Plants

Did you know that APT are first and foremost minerals processing engineers? We understand minerals, how they behave and how to separate them from the waste rock. We have a large department that deals with ongoing Research and Development, because without proper knowledge how can you make effective equipment?

APT was founded through a mineral testwork laboratory which has been operational since 1984, doing testwork for a range of clients from small private miners to some the largest companies all over the world. Mineral testwork is imperative to make sure the plant you are considering is correct for your ore.

APT has been in business for many years and over that time we have worked to become better and better. Equipment doesn’t just happen – this is not just about cutting and welding steel, it is about the correct design, the smart design, so that when you use the equipment it recovers minerals as effectively and efficiently as possible.

Starting Your Mine | How to Choose the Correct Mineral Processing Plant

Obtaining the right processing solution is of paramount importance to the success of your mining project, without which it will fail. However what happens if your capital doesn’t stretch to a larger plant? APT understands this, and this is why we created a range of plant sizes allowing you to start small and re-invest your profits into the next plant size up. It is like borrowing your growth capital from the ore itself.

Each different size category is professionally designed right from the beginning; right from our smallest plants through to the very largest ones so that you can grow seamlessly in manageable steps. That way you never over-capitalise and you always have the right solution for the next growth stage because it comes from the same expert supplier.

So, where do you start? The first step is to arrange a meeting with us to discuss your processing requirements and map out the best way forward. From there, we will proceed with either testwork, or process plant design if sufficient information is available.

Please contact us for further information, from small-scale operators through to developed mines, APT are experts and our goal is to assist you in establishing a successful and profitable mineral processing venture!

Around the World with APT's GoldKacha Concentrator | Ecuador!

We are taking you around the world with the APT GoldKacha Concentrator! The GoldKacha was first introduced to the market in the early 2000's, and has been developed over the years to ensure that it remains at the forefront of technology. It is the one of the most efficient and robust small-scale concentrators available, with thousands of units in operation worldwide.

Pictured below is a GoldKacha Concentrator MK2 in Ecuador, installed around 2011. Since then, many GoldKachas have made their way to locations throughout South America, and we are exceedingly proud of the progress! The GoldKacha is a mercury-free concentrator that is easy to operate, however highly effective, offering enhanced recoveries. APT placed great emphasis on the design of the unit, to ensure that processing is a pleasure for both the miner and their environment. In a region as beautiful as South America, this is a necessity and we are proud to play a role in creating a clean and prosperous future for those in mining.
