Bulk mineral recovery is made simple to achieve through APT's standard RG scrubber plant design paired with a bulk mineral concentrator and upgrader, such as spiral concentratrs, jigs, flotation cells or FLSmidth Knelson CVD concentrators, to name a few. Bulk and heavy minerals such as diamonds, bauxite, chrome, tin, tantalite, cassiterite and others can be recovered. The RG scrubber is also used for the recovery of gold, and has been well-proven on-site over the years.
Firstly, material is fed into the RG Scrubber, where it is washed and screened before being pumped into the required concentrator. The oversize material leaves the scrubber on the discharge conveyor is simply discarded, or stockpiled for a later stage when it can be crushed down to size. A crushing circuit can easily be added to the plant at a later stage, allowing you to begin mining and expand your project through internal funding. The concentrates are then either pumped, moved via gravity or manually to the upgrader, where your concentrates are further upgraded.
These plants come pre-packaged, pre-plumbed and pre-wired, with all the necessary components needed. These plants range from the ground-breaker size, through to large-scale surface mining operations. Prior mineral testwork is imperative in the beginning stages of your mining development and we recommend ISO 9001:2008 certified laboratory, Peacocke & Simpson.

Flowsheet: The APT bulk minerals plant is used for producing a concentrate of any gravity amenable, liberated heavy minerals, such as cassiterite, tantalite, wolframite, chrome and other minerals. The plant uses an FLSmidth-Knelson CVD concentrator as the primary concentration device, with concentrate clean up on a spirals circuit. On smaller size plants, it is more cost-effective to use spirals as the primary concentrator rather than a CVD.
